What Is LinkedIn Mini Sudoku?
LinkedIn Mini Sudoku is a 6×6 take on classic Sudoku, featured in LinkedIn's lineup of daily logic games. The rules are the same as a full 9×9 board — fill every row, column, and region with each digit exactly once — but the smaller grid means most boards solve in a few minutes.
On a 6×6 board you place the digits 1–6, and each region is a box two rows tall and three columns wide (2×3). The practice board above uses that same format, free, for whenever you want more than one puzzle a day.
How the 6×6 Grid Works
Every row, every column and each of the six 2×3 boxes holds the digits 1–6 exactly once, and every board has exactly one solution. The How to Play guide covers the rules in full, with a worked example on a real board.
Solving Tips for the 6×6 Format
Cross-hatch one digit at a time
Pick a digit and follow every copy of it already on the board along its row and its column. In a box with only six cells, those lines often strike out all but one. In the diagram below the box on the right-hand side is empty, yet the three 5s around it leave exactly one cell that can take a 5, even though that cell still has several possible digits.

Read the board in two-row bands
Rows 1–2, 3–4 and 5–6 each hold exactly two boxes. A digit appears once in each row and once in each box, so once you place it in one box of a band, the other box must take it in the other row. That halves the search in one step.
And in three-column stacks
Columns 1–3 and 4–6 each hold three boxes. When a digit already sits in two boxes of a stack, in two different columns, the third box must take it in the remaining column. On a small board this settles a digit more often than you would expect.
Finish anything with five digits
A row, column or box with five of its six digits has one cell and one digit left. After every placement, check the row, the column and the box you just wrote in: the next forced move is usually right next to the last one.

- Good when you want a slower, longer puzzle.
